New Leases

We provide tailored lease drafting services for our valued landlord clients. We have landlords with retail, commercial and industrial premises in Queensland for whom we tailor leases to suit the needs of the client and the property.
Our leasing experience extends to acting for landlords of small and medium retail shopping centres and commercial business centres, as well as landlords of individual strata titled and stand-alone freehold commercial and industrial properties.

We work with commercial real estate agents and property managers to develop precedent lease documents to suit clients’ specific needs, and assisting our clients to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, such as the Retail Shop Leases Act 1994 (Qld) and the Retail Leases Act 1994 (NSW), through preparation of relevant Landlord/Lessor disclosure documents including Queensland and NSW prescribed form Lessor Disclosure Statement.

Assignment of Lease and Extension of Lease

We also provide assistance to our landlord clients in relation to assignment and transfer of Leases, where a tenant wishes to transfer their interest in a lease following a business sale or exit of the premises, and formal documentation is required, and in preparing formal documentation for extensions to leases where tenants are exercising an option to extend a lease term.

Lease Dispute

If you are having legal issues with your tenant we are here to help. We are experienced in assisting our landlord clients with all manner of tenant disputes including breach of lease by nonpayment of rent, damage to premises, and failing to use the premises in accordance with the terms of the lease. We ensure that all formal legislative requirements relating to Notice to Remedy Breach of Lease are met so that our clients are able to lawfully recover possession of the premises where this is required.
